Learn to Build Your Own Cob House
From earth. From scratch. With your own hands.
Join us for a 35-day immersive journey into natural building, where you will co-create a complete, beautiful, and ecological home using raw, locally sourced materials.
This is a deeply hands-on workshop where you won’t just learn about cob—you will live the process. From foundations to roof, you’ll gain a clear and practical understanding of what it truly takes to build a low-impact home with earth.
What you’ll experience
Over five weeks, we move through the full building process together:
Laying foundations and building a natural rock stem wall
Mixing and building with cob to shape the walls of the house
Integrating windows, shelves, and structural elements
Sculpting, detailing, and applying earthen plasters
Pouring earthen floors and completing finishes
Constructing a reciprocal roof and installing a green roof
Along the way, you’ll learn about soil, materials, design, and essential systems like drainage, electrical integration, and plumbing—grounded in permaculture principles.

Long to live and learn in close connection with nature and community
We stay at The Forrest, a place rooted in simple, nature-connected living. Humans and animals share the land with respect and awareness, guided by natural rhythms.
Accommodation is simple and close to nature. Camping is included in the price, with access to outdoor showers, compost toilets, shared gathering spaces, and a basic outdoor kitchen. Options to stay in a caravan, van, or nearby rental are also available.
Three fresh, balanced vegan meals are provided each day from Monday to Friday, nourishing the body to support the physical work and learning process.
This is more than a workshop.
It’s a chance to reconnect with the earth, your creativity, and a way of building—and living—that is grounded, collaborative, and real.
