About MOCES MOCES was born from a desire to create a movement of connection and transformation in the Algarve, reflecting the identity and essence of the region. The name MOCES is inspired by a regional Algarve term used to refer to young people, symbolising our mission to engage and empower the next generation. We chose to add the “e” at the end of the name to make it more inclusive and representative of all gender identities, reinforcing our commitment to diversity and equality. We are a non-profit association working across three fundamental areas: **social, culture and environment**. We believe these dimensions are interconnected and essential to creating a more balanced and sustainable future. Our work focuses on creating innovative projects that promote social inclusion, artistic development and environmental awareness, empowering communities and creating opportunities for artists, creators and young entrepreneurs. Through initiatives such as **Artists & Fleas**, an alternative market that supports local artists and brings energy to the cultural sector, and **Zona De(s)conforto**, a project that uses technology as a tool to support the wellbeing of young people, we aim to foster a more creative and accessible Algarve. We also invest in events that promote sustainability education, such as FÉRTIL, as well as volunteering and community development programs that offer transformative experiences for young people in a variety of contexts. More than an association, MOCES is a space for connection, sharing and innovation. We are here to challenge boundaries, open new paths and build a future where art, culture and sustainability move forward together.
